About me
In my family, we are like witches.
A legacy, passed down from generation to generation, like a spell. My great-grandmother could sew for the entire family in a single night. My grandmother still sews to this day. So does my mother. At home, a century-old Singer sewing machine from 1909 still stands — as old as the stories it holds within its seams.
I made my first piece — a bag — in high school. It was crooked, and the Velcro was sewn on the wrong side, but it was mine. And that was enough to make me fall in love with sewing.
I dug out my mom’s sewing machine, switched it on, and… that’s how it all began. No courses, no schools — just doing. Learning on my own, stubbornly, sometimes feeling my way in the dark. But always with a passion that nothing could extinguish.
I made my first corset before I even understood how much it could mean to the person wearing it.
And ever since, I haven’t been sewing to make things “pretty.” I sew to make them real.
Sewing was where my heart was, but reason told me to take a different path. I went to university, earned a degree in food technology, and spent several years helping grow our family business — a craft brewery. I worked at full speed.
And in the evenings… I would sit down at my sewing machine. It was my way of unwinding after the day.
I realized I couldn’t — and didn’t want to — reconcile the two.
The pandemic simply brought forward a decision that had been a long time coming.
I left the security of a steady job and went all in.
I didn't want to be a part of someone else's plan - but the creator of my own..
Today I run Rememo — an atelier where I create made-to-measure corsets, individually tailored to each client.
All happens in my atelier. I work mainly with clients who are looking for something beyond standard
off-the-rack size — a corset designed around their unique body shape and their vision.
Every piece I create starts from scratch — from the initial sketch and pattern-making to the very last
stitch. Everything is made in my studio, using European-sourced materials, with no rush.
I do it all myself, from start to finish — that’s simply how I prefer to work. 😉
